Alexa Chung – It

Okay, so I realised I’m waaaaay behind the times with this one but here goes. I decided to invest in Alexa Chung’s book (finally) I was initially put off by the bad reviews, hence why it took me so long to get it. But eventually I decided I might as well give it a go for myself.

I really like the simplicity of the cover – its pretty and elegant. Pink is also my favourite colour so thats always a plus.
The content is really simple and easy to read – I actually like this about the book. I know some people have complained about the layout being messy and far too simple – but I think its great. She hasn’t gone with the stereotypical boring autobiography. She doesn’t complain none stop about how her life is awful like some celebrities. She just talks about stuff she loves, her style and her inspirations. Personally I think this is a refreshing insight and much more original.
There are a LOT of photos in this book. A hell of a lot. Some of which I don’t really understand. Although it does break it up quite nicely and shows off her quirky personality.
I like the little doodles and stuff she includes – I think this is really cute.
Overall, I think this book is a nice easy read, especially if you’re travelling somewhere by train or plane, etc.
Nice one, Alexa!

I heard alot of good things about this book, but also some bad ones and I still consider getting the book. I might write it at my birthday wish list!
