Glossybox // October Pop Art Edition

october glossybox 2014

I love getting subscription boxes every month. However, often they can be so disappointing.

I recently cancelled my Glossybox subscription as the past few boxes have been okay but lacking. This is my last Glossybox! And its actually pretty good. How typical is it that I get a decent box as soon as I cancel it?

Anyway, in this months box I received:
Ciate ‘Snow Virgin’ Nail Polish, So Susan Mascara, Nuxe Crème Fraiche de Beaute Mask, être belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel, Sample BB Cream and a Sample Perfume.

Ciate are one of my favourite nail brands. I’m really pleased I received the white version as I think white is such a classic nail colour – and literally goes with everything. I also like how its sort of Christmas themed as I love Christmas.

Mascara is also one of the products I always use no matter what – so I guess it will come in handy.

I have to be honest I haven’t heard of the Nuxe Crème Fraiche de Beaute Mast or etre belle cosmetics Liplift peel. However they do sound like the sort of product I would go for. I have the driest skin ever – and the mask claims moisturise even the driest of skin. (Lets hope so!) Similarly with the Liplift peel for dry lips – they claim to moisturise and exfoilate the lips. This should come in handy as the weather gets colder. No more chapped lips! Hopefully..

And.. I know everyone usually moans about samples (myself included sometimes) but I actually do really like getting perfume samples. They are so handy for sticking in your bag when your going out somewhere to freshen up on the go.

On the other hand, the BB Cream sample doesn’t really look like you’d even get enough to have a proper try of this product but there is enough for you to get a feel for the product. Which I suppose is the whole idea of a sample.

Overall, I like this box. It’s much better than the previous few months for sure!
xoxo

I have been reading a few reviews on these boxes and I'm not really that impressed with them. I just recently bought a Glamour Power List Box 2014 apparently £80 worth of goods for £15.99 and I have to be honest I was really impressed with it. I've done a review on my blog about it . Marie xox

Yeah I got the glamour power list box and was impressed with it too. I like this glossybox as it's much improved from others I've received but not quite good enough for me to keep my subscription. I've signed up for my little box for a change instead 🙂 x

I recently cancelled my Glossybox subscription because I have found a beauty box I prefer abundantly more. Personally, it is all the dang sample sizes we getting. Considering most places give you free samples (if you look hard enough) I think it is a waste of money.

I've cancelled mine also as I agree most of their boxes aren't worth it. I did quite like this one though 🙂

I cancelled my Glossybox subscription and this was the last box I received. I got the same items as you, just a different coloured nail varnish. I was actually really impressed with this box – but I do agree with you about the small Rimmel sample barely being enough! Great post xx

Me too. I actually like this box! I wish samples were actually a decent size! Haha. 🙂 x

What a cute Glossybox! I want to try that BB Cream, as I've seen it on so many blogger's posts. I just can't find it in the USA! I agree about the perfume samples.. I do actually enjoying getting them!

I have tried the BB cream before and it is quite nice. I prefer Laura Mercers primer though! Hmm have you tried dropping them an email? They might be able to help you out on where to find this product 🙂
I love perfume samples! So handy 🙂 x

I love monthly boxes, but I think I love the idea of them more than actually receiving them! I have yet to sign up for one because I'm so scared I will be disappointed and frankly I don't use samples that much. Glossybox has always stood our as one of the better ones, but I'm happy to hear your review of it. I do love the packaging of this and of course your last one would be the best one!

I know exactly what you mean. I feel like this sometimes when I get disappointed with a box. The best idea is probably just to shop around, have a look at some reviews and previous boxes and see which box is best for you. I've just signed up for "my little box" and it looks amazing. Fingers crossed I'm not disappointed! Haha.

This box looked quite good, Ciate are one of my favourite nail brands too 🙂 I would have been really pleased with the white!

I was so glad to get white! So often in these boxes you end up with a random, strange colour you wouldn't use! Haha.

I quite like perfume samples bc you can usually use them a few times. Sachets or the worst!

I wish I got the white nail varnish!

Yeah I don't like samples that are so tiny you can't really 'sample' them haha.
I'm glad I got white as I know I'll definitely use it! Xx

I used to be subscribed to Glossybox but canceled by subscription a few months back as I kept feeling really disappointed and finding myself not actually trying the products and just storing them instead! But I actually quite like the contents of this months box!

I'm the same! I like the idea of them more than actually getting them I think! Haha.

We have Nuxe in Canada and it's a pretty good brand! I used to be subbed to ipsy but cancelled it recently since the stuff were too small and it just sat in my drawer.

Ooh really? I've not tried it yet but it does seem like a good product.

This subscription box looks lovely, so many of my friends and fellow bloggers have them but I haven't gotten one yet… Ciate is a lovely brand that is definite worthy trying!

I like getting boxes each month – its a nice little surprise. But they can often be disappointing so I'd suggest having a good look around before subscribing.

I've never signed up for a subscription box, I really want to, but I'm scared I'd be wasting my money on products I don't like! This one looks great though! x

I know what you mean – they can often be not so great to be honest. The key is just to have a look around and see which box would appeal to you the most. 🙂 x
