High End vs High Street // Beauty

I’ve found a few dupes of high end products that I thought I would share. High end products are often very expensive for what they are. So I decided to experiment with some drug store alternatives.

First up is the Too faced Natural Eyes Palette vs Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette.
As you can see, the shades are very similar – nudes and browns. However pigment wise, I would probably have to say the Too Faced palette wins that one.
The Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette has more of a range of colours, therefore more choice.
They are both quite compact and easy to travel with. Although I do find the Too Faced Palette can be a little flimsy and spring open in your bag. This isn’t a problem with the Makeup revolution palette as it clicks shut.
The Makeup Revolution palette does come with 2 small eyeshadow brushes which are handy. But personally I much prefer using my own eyeshadows brushes over these ones.
Price wise, the Too Faced Palette is around £32.00, whereas the Makeup Revolution Palette is around £5/6. There’s a big difference between the two!

Next is the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre in Red Vixen vs The Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipgloss in Hot.
With these two products I see barely any difference. The colour is the same, the application is the same and the consistency is the same.
I definitely recommend them both. But if you can’t afford £16.50 for the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre, the Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipgloss is just £1!
Value wise, the Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipgloss has to win as you can buy 16 of their lip glosses for the price of 1 Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre.

Finally is the Laura Mercier Flawless Face Palette vs W7 Camouflage Kit.
I have to say, I’m a little biased as I really love the Laura Mercier Face Palette. It’s gorgeous. It has a great range of shades that suit my skin tone. And the packaging?! It’s so pretty. It just looks so high end. I really love using it.
That being said, the shades in the W7 dupe are very similar. However you don’t get the face powder like you do with Laura Mercier palette.
Price wise, the Laura Mercier Flawless Face Palette is around £35.00 and the W7 Camouflage Kit  is £3.99. So its a great alternative if you can’t afford to get the Laura Mercier Palette.
Have you found any good dupes?

Love the look of the Laura Mercier palette! I haven't seen this product before, but I still haven't tried many LM yet. I love the Too Faced palette though, I just love the colour range and pigmentation x

I must say I love the Too Faced palette so much and I find the clasp is really great! I can't imagine a high street brand beating the quality of this one.

BUT definitely going to give those lip glosses a go as what a great bargain!

It is really great! I do love it a lot. The makeup revolution one is just a good, budget alternative. 🙂
Definitely try them out – they are such good quality.
