January Favourites

January favourites

January came and went far too quickly! It’s time for the favourites of the month post.

First up is the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer. This has been a favourite of mine for months. I love this product! I originally got the sample size in a beauty box and it lasted me for months. I HAD to purchase the full size as soon as I ran out of the sample size. This product makes your skin feel lovely and soft – a perfect base for make up. Especially if you are like me and have particularly dry skin – this product is great for mosiurising the skin and making sure your make up doesn’t clump to any dry patches.
Next is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade ‘Cool Medium’. I bought this after reading so many rave reviews about this product and I am so glad I did. This concealer is great for hiding dark circles as well as blemishes. I used to use Erase Paste by Benefit but now I swear by the Collection Concealer. And its SO cheap! You just can’t go wrong with this product.

Another favourite of mine is Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I love the Core Collection brushes by Real Techniques so I decided to buy this brush to go alongside the other Real Techniques brushes I already owned. I used to apply my liquid foundation with my fingers until I started using this brush. It definitely makes your foundation look much better and I would highly recommend this brush.

My mascara favourite of the month is the Thick & Fast Mascara by Soap and Glory. I received this mascara in a gift set and decided to give it a go. I love this mascara! It makes your eyelashes look thicker (as the title would suggest) and longer. My only gripe with this mascara is that you have to be careful not to put too much on or it can go clumpy. But other than that – it’s a really good mascara.

A constant favourite of mine all year round is the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks. These lipsticks are the greatest drug store lipstick I have ever tried. I have so many different shades and I will forever re-purchase this lipstick. It is my ultimate go to lipstick.

Next up is the Star Liner Waterproof Eyeliner. I think I received this in one of the My Little Box’s. This eyeliner is very thick and dark – which I love as I always use eyeliner when applying make up. I like the fact that it lasts all day and is smudge proof. Although, I wouldn’t 100% say it’s completely waterproof.

Finally is the Ciate Nail Polish in the shade ‘Play Date’. I love red nails and red lips – its a look I wear very often. I think its so classic and easy to recreate as its a simple look.

Another favourite of mine is the Max Factor Creme Puff Eyeshadow in the shade Copper. This was sent to me along with some other Max Factor make up for review. (Here) But this was my absolute favourite! It’s such a lovely consistency and the shade is gorgeous. It isn’t a shade I would usually go for but it really highlights my eyes and I’m in love with it. I would definitely buy more shades of this eyeshadow.

I have that concealer but have never used it. Looks like I need to start using it, I was told it was good but just bought it and never used it. This month I need to sort my makeup and perfume out I think and use stuff instead of just buying more new stuff.
