I have been dying to try out this hotel ever since it opened. I loved the look of it as it seemed so glam and sophisticated. I also loved the whole idea of a story/cast as I think this gives it a unique edge to other high end hotels in Manchester.
When we first arrived, we were greeted by a gentleman at the entrance who asked if we were staying and told us that we needed to go to the sixth floor to check in. We went up to the sixth floor to reception – and wow! It was beautiful. Very grand and beautifully decorated. I loved the whole stylish feel of the hotel already – and we had only visited reception!
We checked in and were offered a small shot of something that was bright red. We didn’t take one so I’m not sure what it was. But I thought that was a nice touch.
We then got back into the lift and went to the fourth floor where our room was situated. The pictures I took don’t do the room justice. The room was beautiful and so spacious. The room had almost a 1920’s feel to it. I especially loved the big fluffy throw on the bed. So comfortable and warm too! I wish I could have taken it home with me. In fact, if I could have my whole room decorated like this room, I definitely would!
The room also had the standard amenities such as a TV, dressing table and storage etc that you would expect in a hotel room. One thing I am not as keen on, is a dressing table that is not situated near natural lighting such as a window. I always get ready in natural lighting to avoid ending up caked in make up! However this is not really a big deal for me.
The bathroom was stylish and modern (and huuuge) There was a large monsoon shower too. I felt the bathroom was much more modern compared to the rest of the room itself.
Another standard feature was a mini bar – however I have never been in a hotel room where the mini bar is inside the wardrobe. I thought this was a bit strange but it is a good idea. Sometimes having coffee cups and clutter on tables can make some rooms look untidy.
Overall, we had an amazing time and I would visit again! Next time I think we need to try out the hotel bar/restaurant to get a full feel of what the hotel has to offer.
P.S how gorgeous is my Primark embroidered faux leather jacket?! So in love with it.
