Believe it or not these are my first NARS make up purchases!
I don’t know why I waited so long before trying out NARS as most beauty bloggers go mad for this brand. I think my love for MAC may have got in the way slightly when it came to high end make up.
I’m really fussy when it comes to lipsticks because I think most colours don’t suit me as I’m quite pale.
I’m very much a red lipstick kind of girl. But I have far too many red shades so I decided to go for ‘Brigitte’ from the NARS Audacious Lipstick range, which is a subtle pink shade.
I really like wearing this for an everyday look as its quite nude and goes with most looks.
NARS claim this lipstick is:
“Modern lipstick so shamelessly seductive in touch and texture the sensation is audacious. Unadulterated luxury glides on like satin across skin with single-stroke coverage“
I have to say – I agree. I think the texture is gorgeous. It glides on easily and feels smooth and moisturising when applied.
And the packaging? It’s so chic. I think NARS win hands down over MAC for the look of their lipsticks. I think it just looks so high end. I especially like how they engrave ‘NARS’ into the lipstick itself. I also like how the lipstick lid is magnetic so you don’t have to worry about it coming off in your handbag.
I’m really excited to pick up some more shades of this beautiful lipstick, so if you love a particular shade let me know so I can check it out!
The other NARS product I picked up was the NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner.
I use eyeliner every day in my make up look without fail. I’ve been using a random eyeliner pencil for my lower lash line for a while and its been okay but I decided I wanted a proper eyeliner pencil as its something I use daily.
This NARS eyeliner pencil is amazing!
I like how defined the shape of it is, therefore it makes applying eyeliner to the lower lash line easy.
I’ve worn it all day for work and I’m pleased that it doesn’t smudge or run during the day.
I also like how this eyeliner winds up at the bottom rather than having to sharpen it constantly. I find sometimes if you have to sharpen an eyeliner pencil it can be a bit sharp – which is definitely not what you want when your applying it to your eyes.
Overall I’m impressed with my first purchases from NARS and will definitely get more in near future.
