OOTD // Ft Avenue A

Monochrome is my go to trend – and has been for as long as I can remember.

I think it is such an easy, elegant trend to recreate and if you read my OOTD posts regularly, you will see that I am almost always going for that kind of style.
Strap tops are great for Spring/Summer as they are delicate and pretty – which this top from Avenue A* definitely is. This is the Viraun Strap Top by Vila which is priced at £18.
I love the lace detailing at the top as I think it gives the top a more elegant look. It also has a black panel design through the front and back.

I think the quality of this top is great too because its not too see through – which is one thing I hate about white tops. But I haven’t had a problem with this one at all.
I also like how it has adjustable straps as I love when tops have this feature. Especially when they are v-cut at the front. I’m not really sure why – just a personal preference on tops or jumpsuits in particular. (Also it helps having adjustable straps so you don’t feel like you have to pull your top up every two seconds!)

I then teamed this top with:
Aztec Scarf*
Topshop Cigarette Trousers
River Island Satchel Bag
River Island Sunglasses (old)

A light weight scarf is perfect for this time of year because its in between Spring/Summer time. As occasionally were lucky that its hot, but unfortunately we are in the UK after all so for the most part its going to be chilly!
I think this scarf would look absolutely beautiful with a light weight trench coat. (I’m still searching for my perfect Spring trench coat!)
At £10 I think this is a decent price too.

Next up: Topshop cigarette trousers!
I love Topshop cigarette trousers. I think they look so smart, yet they are really comfortable. Plus they tie in with my Monochrome theme I was going for with this outfit.

Then I finished the look with some River Island accessories.
I love my satchel bag from River Island. It’s only £20 so I think its a bargain really. It’s big enough to fit all your essentials in but not too big for carrying around in the Summer.
And of course, for any Summer look – just add sunglasses! I love this sunglasses as they are very retro looking.

River Island satchel bag

And here is the finished look!
I really like this outfit (Awkward pose aside) and think its a great casual Summer look for us Monochrome lovers!

Beautiful outfit Alex, love it. Can't put a foot wrong in monochrome, like you say, but the lace detailing and pattern on your scarf really elevates the look. Love it. Stylish lady! xx
