I started off with the Core Collection from Real Techniques and ever since I haven’t used any other make up brushes. I then went on to purchase the Expert Face Brush – which is one I use daily now for liquid foundation. I can’t see myself replacing it any time soon!
Real Techniques. Where to start? I LOVE their brushes.
I think they are such good quality and last a long time. I’ve had mine for well over a year now and they are still like new. Although, I would recommend cleaning them often – especially if you are using any for liquid foundation as they tend to pick up a lot of product.
I’ve been dying to try the Bold Metals collection since they came out – I even featured them in my wishlist posts! And now I’ve finally got my hands on the Flat Contour Brush.
There are so many great reviews on the brush – which made me even more excited to get it. I’m not good at contouring at all. I’m very pale and I’m often self conscious that if I put too much bronzer on I’ll end up looking orange. This is one of the reasons why I wanted to get this brush as I thought it would help me out as I am useless in that area.
I only ‘contour’ my cheeks and don’t tend to apply any around my forehead as I feel it doesn’t suit me. (Also it isn’t really necessary for an everyday look.)
This brush really has lived up to expectations!
The shape of the brush makes it really easy to create a nice line on the cheek – giving a contour style effect. I also think this brush is nice for blush too for the same reasons.
I think the brush is much nicer to look at than the core collection as its so pretty! I love the rose gold colour. I will admit I wasn’t keen on rose gold when the hype started around this colour but I’m coming round to it slowly!
I also think the design just looks so much more high end than some of the other collections.
Overall, I would highly recommend this brush. Have you tried any of the collection?
