I absolutely loved loved loved this months Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box!
I am always impressed when I receive a decent eye shadow palette in a beauty box. Especially the higher end beauty boxes, which this one is retailing at £35 per month. I understand this is one of the more expensive monthly beauty boxes but I think it is worth it for the value of products you receive. For example, the pamphlet in this months box states that the box value is around £92.99 in total!
So on to the products I received themselves. Pictured above is the Cargo Cosmetics Getaway Eye Shadow palette. This palette retails for £34. So basically if you think about it this way, you’ve paid for the palette and the rest are freebies! Which in my eyes is a bargain as I am obsessed with eye shadow palettes and would buy this product for myself.
I do have quite a collection of the Cargo Cosmetics eye shadow palettes thanks to the Look Incredible beauty boxes as they seem to be a regular product feature. Which I am definitely not complaining about as I feel the Cargo Cosmetics eye shadow palettes are good quality and have a great shade range.
Top Row: from left to right the shades are as follows: Roadtrip, Journey, Luggage, Route, Passport, Flight
Bottom Row: from left to right the shades are as follows: Map, Tour, Resort, Vacation, Traveller, Highway
This palette has a good mix of matte and glitter shades. My favourite shades in this palette are ‘Journey’ and ‘Traveller’. (Yes, both glitter shades!) I was surprised how much I liked ‘Journey’ as it is a deep purple tone which is outside of my normal go-to browns/pinks – but I really love how it looks when applied. Especially when I use it to create a night time/date night look.
Roadtrip and luggage are very light base colours therefore did not show up too well on the picture but they are both lovely shades and I can definitely see myself getting a lot of use out of them.
I have never tried any Shiseido products so I was looking forward to giving this a go.
If I’m honest I do prefer to have a thicker brush for mascara however I did find this mascara applied well. I like that it is a standard black shade because I don’t use any other shades and sometimes in beauty boxes you can get weird and wonderful shades.
This mascara retails for £24. I am unsure whether I would re-purchase as like I said, I generally prefer a thicker brush when buying mascara.
The third item I received was The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long lasting Liquid Lipstick. This item retails for £15.
The shade for this lipstick is ‘devoted’ which is a red shade. I know sometimes people complain about beauty boxes sending red lipstick/nail polish but I LOVE it. I must have 50 red lipsticks and I still get excited when I get a new red lipstick to add to my collection.
I like the consistency of this lipstick and it applies well. Although it is a matte lipstick I don’t find it too drying on the lips so I think I will get a lot of use out of this product.
The final product I received in this months Look Incredible deluxe beauty box was the UTAN & Tone Firming Coffee Scrub. This product retails for £19.99.
This product appears to be mainly for fake tan users. (Which I am not) But it does say that it exfoliates and moisturises the skin which I definitely need as I have really dry skin. I haven’t tried this product yet but I will give it a go to see if it helps my skin.
