Review // Tropic Skincare Mineral Eyeshadow Palette*

Tropic Skincare is a brand I have being longing to try for some time now. I have seen this brand popping up on Twitter and Instagram and knew I had to try it out. Therefore I was so excited to receive this beautiful  Mineral Eye shadow palette in the shade ‘Wild Wisteria’ to review.

Tropic Skincare create cruelty free products which are also vegan. A brand with good ethical values is always a must in my opinion. You can see full details regarding Tropic Skincare’s beliefs and values here. It is a really interesting read and also it shows that the brand is open and honest about what is in their products and what they stand for. I also enjoyed reading Tropic Skincare’s story (here) as it shows hard work really does pay off in the end!

The palette came with a booklet on Tropic Skin Care products which I love because it is really handy to see the different products available. It also shows that the mineral eye shadow palette I received comes in three other shades which is really helpful. Especially if you really love a certain product, as you can see what other varieties of the same product there are. I am dying to try out ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ next.

The booklet also features the prices, accessories available and a bit about the product itself.

Onto the product itself! My favourite shade is the brown toned shade (third swatch) closely followed by the nude-pink shade (second swatch) Browns/nudes are my favourite in terms of eye shadows. Therefore this palette is right up my street. I also think the shades in this palette would look beautiful on someone with blue or green eyes.

I was really impressed with how pigmented the eye shadows were. The colours are so vivid and can be easily blended together to create different looks as they compliment one another beautifully.

I also think you could use the first two shades to highlight under your brow as the shades are so shimmery and catch the light beautifully.

I am not surprised that this product is award winning as I am really impressed with the quality. And it seems I am not the only one who loves this palette as there are great reviews on the product itself on the website.
