Summer Outfit Inspiration

Top – River Island £20

Necklace – Topshop (Old)
Jeans – Topshop £36
Shoes – River Island (Old)

I love Summer. Who doesn’t really?
Although I’m very much a monochrome girl – I do like brightening up my wardrobe for Summer.

I recently bought this purple top from River Island. I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of the whole crochet trend but I do love this top.
It’s light weight and such a gorgeous colour – I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.
This top also has buttons that go all the way down the back which I absolutely LOVE. It makes the top look so much nicer.
I’m kind of a sucker for little details in clothing.

I also added a little necklace from Topshop which is black with a little circle – got to incorporate a little monochrome right?

I then teamed this with a pair of good old Joni Jeans from Topshop.
Where to start with there jeans?
They are everything I could ever ask for in a jean. Comfy, stylish and not too bad price wise either.
I love the fact that they are high waisted. I can’t stand jeans that a low rise.
I also really like the light acid wash style for Summer. I love the look of white jeans on everyone else but not me – I think I’m too little and stumpy to pull off white jeans. So this was a good alternative for a light coloured jean.
If you haven’t tried Joni Jeans – I highly recommend you try them out!

Then the shoes!
I got these as a present as I was a bit torn as to whether or not I liked them at first.
They are a boat style shoe with a slingback. They actually look really nice with jeans and I think they will be great to wear throughout the Summer.
They are also really comfortable and easy to wear – win win.

Of course, what else is better than sunglasses to finish off a Summer outfit?
I absolutely adore these ‘Carmen’ sunglasses from Jeepers Peepers*.

I love the retro style, the cat eye shape and the tortoise shell print. I’m a huuuuuge fan of big sunglasses! I think they suit me well and look so stylish.

I think these sunglasses look so high end – they could easily be mistaken for designer sunglasses such as Chanel or Dior. (At a fraction of the price too!)

They retail for £18 which I think is fair for a quality pair of sunglasses. I think these sunglasses will also last throughout different trends so they are definitely an investment piece. I can see these sunglasses lasting the test of time and will always be on trend.

I love the fact that they came with a soft cloth bag for storing them in. I think this is essential when storing sunglasses in your handbag as otherwise they end up scratched – not a good look! The pattern is so cute too: “I Love Jeepers Peepers” and I do love love these sunglasses.
Fingers crossed for more great weather so I get to wear them often!

What do you think of this outfit?
