Travel // York Weekend Away Part Two

Beautiful view!
Oh how I love York.
It looks to calm and peaceful in this photo. Although it was the busiest I had ever seen it due to the races.

I had never heard of this restaurant before but we decided to give it a try.
I love trying new places to eat – I think its much more fun than going to the same places all the time.
I really liked the quirky design of this restaurant. It looked so retro.

We had breakfast there a couple of times. I actually went for the vegetarian breakfast. I’m not really sure why as I usually just go for a normal full English style. I have been trying to eat better recently though.
It included toast, hummus, guacamole, poached eggs, beans and cripsy potatoes.
It was honestly one of the nicest breakfast’s I have ever had. I wasn’t sure on the combination at first but it goes together well and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love the layout and design of this restaurant – this probably isn’t far off how I would like my ideal kitchen area.
It’s so pretty – I’m in love with the retro, shabby chic style.
I loved my weekend in York and it was the perfect trip away for me and my Boyfriend.
I also used the most beautiful camera – La Sardina* from Lomography this weekend.
This version is the ‘DIY’ edition which means you can draw, paint and add any design you like on to the camera. I think this is a really unique idea which I had never seen with any other camera before.
I’ve used the Diana F+ Edelweiss Lomography Camera before and found it far too complicated for myself. I much prefer using this camera hands down.
To use this camera all you need to do is load the film, using the screwdriver provided to unscrew the necessary part, then once the film is secured you screw it back on and your ready to go! All you do is wind the dial until you can’t wind it around any more and click the button on top of the dial and then you’ve taken your first picture!
This camera also comes with a large flash which is detachable if you do not wish to use. I like how you can detach it as it makes it easier to carry with you on your travels. It also in my view makes it safer as you can store them separately so there is no danger of them being damaged.
The flash also comes with several colour filters so you can really play around with your photos and create different looks.
I love this camera because its stylish, light weight and really easy to use.
If your a newbie to lomography cameras like me I would highly recommend this camera as a starter camera.
I haven’t had time to develop the pictures from York yet but here are some examples of the beautiful pictures this camera can take:
I can’t wait to get them developed to see how they turned out!
I miss York already and can’t wait for my next adventure.

I love the idea of that DIY camera although it looks gorgeous in white! Also I'm vegetarian and that breakfast sounds divine, at first I thought the same as you like those food items wouldn't go together but still sounds yummy! Xx
