Tropic Skincare Shimmer Edition Summer Collection*

If you read my blog regularly you will know that I am fast becoming a huuuge fan of Tropic Skincare products. So I was really excited to try out one of the beautiful Summer collections.

The two products I am going to chat to you about are part of the ‘Shimmer Edition’ Summer collection. In this collection there are two products:

Summer Goddess Shimmering Body Oil – £28*
Cream Highlighter in ‘Spotlight’ – £18*

Tropic Skincare Shimmer Edition

The first product I want to chat to you about is the Summer Goddess Shimmering body Oil. This product is described as: “A stunning body oil infused with golden shimmer, perfect for those who want that radiant holiday glow.”

Now, I am really pale so I was quite worried that this product would be very dark on my skin but its perfect. You can build the colour easily by applying more product or you can keep the shimmer quite natural and just apply a thin layer.

The price is £28 which I don’t think is bad at all given the size of the bottle . (150ml)

I can’t wait to take this on holiday with me as I feel that it would look amazing on applied on top of a tan.

This product is limited edition so make sure you grab it before it sells out!

As always, Tropic Skincare products are vegan and cruelty free. Here is the list of ingredients from the website:

Golden Organic Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Emollient, Apricot Kernel Oil, Mica, Sugar Beet Emollient, Virgin Organic Coconut Oil, Silica, Extracts of Tahitian and Bourbon Vanilla, Tiare Flower and Rosemary, Lime Essential Oil, Natural Fragrance from Coconut and Vanilla, Vitamin E, Sunflower Seed Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide

Onto the Cream Highlighter! I must admit highlighter is not something I would usually use but I wanted to give this product a go to see how it would look.

This product comes in two shades: ‘Sunlight’ and ‘Spotlight’. The shade sunlight is darker and more bronze in tone therefore I think this would suit darker/tanned skin better. Whereas the shade spotlight is brighter, more natural and would suit paler skin tones like mine.

First impressions were good. The highlighter is a shimmery pink shade. I much prefer slightly muted/natural highlighters. I think my phobia of highlighters comes from the fact that most highlighters are almost white in colour as they are so sparkly/bright. Which some people may love but it does not suit me at all.

The highlighter is easy to apply as it a cream consistency. I generally use my fingers and pat the highlight into my cheekbones but you could also use the Pure Precision Beauty Drop Sponge. (Another amazing Tropic Skincare product!)

As always, I loved trying out these two Tropic Skincare products and would highly recommend checking them out.
